Kashi No Ki Kenyu Kai is a long-established and highly regarded dojo based in Nottinghamshire, dedicated to the development and promotion of kendo. We constantly strive to improve our skills and knowledge by encouraging and promoting international relations and studying the original culture and core values at the heart of kendo.
We welcome beginners at Kashi No Ki Kenyu Kai, aged 12 upwards. Contact us to arrange a visit to watch a practice, meet the club members and find out whether kendo is right for you.
Kendo develops the mind through training and discipline. You will learn breathing techniques to calm the mind while undertaking rigorous activity.
Kendo will help you develop flexibility and cardio fitness appropriate to your level and age. You can adapt your practice to suit your ability.
Kendo focuses on the development of 'spirit', which can be applied to challenges and situations in life outside of the dojo.
The kendo community in the UK is small and friendly. You will be welcomed into our dojo and other dojos across the country.
